This recipe makes about 3 dozen cookies.
Peanut Butter Cookies Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter flavored vegetable shortening
- 1 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
Peanut Butter Cookies Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375*F
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl and set aside.
- Combine peanut butter, light brown sugar, milk, and vanilla and beat at medium speed in an electric mixer until well blended.
- Add egg and beat mixture just until blended.
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture at low speed and mix just until blended.
- Drop heaping teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly in crisscross pattern with tines of a fork.
- Bake one sheet at a time at 375*F for 7 to 8 minutes, or until set and just beginning to brown.
- Let cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet.
- Remove cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely.
